A flexible approach to psychotherapy

As a clinician, I strive to adjust my therapeutic style to meet the unique needs of my clients. I have extensive training and experience in psychodynamic therapy and often see people in long term, growth oriented therapy with the goal of helping clients attain mastery over underlying beliefs, feelings or relationship patterns that stand in the way of their personal goals and aspirations.

I also offer short term therapy to focus on acute experiences of depression, anxiety, grief, trauma and reactions to stressful life transitions for both individuals and families.

Whenever appropriate or useful, I also draw upon the tools of evidenced based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness practice, and control mastery therapy (CMT).
